6 Four Period Hybrid Block Schedule Allows students more room for exploration. Allows students to choose between 4 and 8 classes at any given time. Allows for new elective course offerings. Allows students to advance further within a given subject. Allows for consistent daily schedule.

8 Hybrid 4 Period Schedule All students take 8 classes throughout the year Semester = 1.0 Credit A/B = 1.0 Credit (Meets for 90 consecutive days) (Meets every other day for the entire year)

17 Building Next Year s Schedule 1. You request 8 preferred classes and several alternatives. (Request form/ Reviewed and collected next week) 2. You create your schedule based on requests in Skyward. (Later this Spring) 3. Counselors help fine tune what you create. Note: Schedules are not finalized until the beginning of the school year. Some school initiated changes may be necessary.

18 Other Options Running Start (All day or One A/B or 0 Period Class at the HS) Attend orientation meeting in March with parent. Take English and Math placement tests OR submit SBAC results. Meet with counselor to finish process. Tech Center (Two Periods Per Day Throughout the Year) Request program of your choice in four of the available spots on your form. Complete and submit application to counseling office by March 13.

19 Other Options Online Courses Follow process outlined on handout. Application available March 6. Request the class in your normal daily schedule! O Period Classes Complete Zero Period Class Request Form and submit to your counselor. Request the class in your normal daily schedule! 0 period will be added to your schedule before registration window opens if you get in.
