9 To be eligible for the top 10% automatic admission and/or the Texas Grant a student must earn Distinguished Level of Achievement. The Distinguished Level of Achievement requires: 4 credits in math including Algebra II 4 credits in science All Foundation High School Program requirements At least one endorsement

12 Counselors meet with juniors individually during spring semester to evaluate credits left for graduation. Students discuss which classes they are interested in taking their senior year. Forms will be sent home with students after the conference for a parent signature. Any requested changes MUST be made in writing with parent signature. No course changes will be made after June 1, 2018!
13 Advanced Placement Program Receive advanced placement or college credit through AP exam score Score of 3 or higher in Texas receives college credit Rigorous curriculum; requires serious commitment Students are allowed to register to take an AP exam without prior instruction. May apply to other schools under Regular Decision option; but if accepted by the Early Decision school, applicant must withdraw other applications Early Action non-binding; allows student to apply early and learn of the admission decision before regular applicants (usually Dec or Jan). If accepted, you are not obligated to attend. Waiting List - Mid-year senior grades are often used to determine acceptance. Admission will depend upon the number of students that accept admission from regular admission offers. Need Biased College grants and scholarships that are issued based on your financial need.
