1 Board of Education meeting will be held on Tuesday - January 8, 2019 High School It is anticipated that the Board of Education will enter into Executive Session at approximately 6:00 PM with the Regular public session to re-convene immediately following. It is anticipated that the Board of Education will reconvene at approximately 7:00 pm 1. Call to Order AGENDA ITEMS 2. Business Considerations: 6.1 Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings (including Sub-CSE meetings) As a result of the CSE and Sub-CSE meetings held between October 11, 2018 and December 21, 2018 the Committee on Special Education recommends approval of the Individual Education Plan (IEPs) for 39 students for the school year. 2 6.2 Be it resolved that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education accepts the October Treasurer s Reports. 6.3 Be it resolved that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education accepts the Extraclassroom Activity Fund statement of cash Receipts, disbursements and cash balances for the quarter ending September 30, 2018 as per attached. 6.4 Be it resolved that upon the recommendations of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education approves the 2019 Albany County Senior Citizen and Disabled Tax Exemption sliding scale as per attached. 6.5 Be it resolved that upon the recommendations of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education approves the 2019 Greene County Senior Citizen and Disabled Tax Exemption sliding scale as per attached. 6.6 Be it resolved that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education accepts, with gratitude, the donation from Mr. & Mrs. Gralnik in the amount of $ for the Middle School to be used for families in need this holiday season. 6.7 Be it resolved that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education accepts the grant in the amount of $1, from the Target Youth Soccer Grant Program for a Soccer Scholarship. 6.8 Be it resolved that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education accepts, with gratitude the donation in the amount of $2, from Sabic. The donation was split between the four (4) school buildings and was used for holiday gift distribution. 6.9 Be it resolved that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education accepts, with gratitude, the donation in the amount of $ from the Empire State Youth Orchestra, Inc. for High School sheet music. Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the Treasurer be, and hereby is, authorized to amend the budget by increasing revenue account A2705 Gifts and Donations and Appropriations Account A Sheet Music HS Be it resolved that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools and in accordance with contractual and administrative procedures, the Board of Education creates the following position: 1.0 FTE Teaching Assistant 6.11 Be it resolved that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education approves the disposal of old wrestling mats that are no longer used. 3 6.12 WHEREAS, the District previously established a Tax Certiorari Reserve in accordance with Education Law Section a and, WHEREAS, the District has received a Stipulation & Order of Settlement in the amount of $62, for Albany Water Board based upon tax certiorari proceedings, which reduced the tax assessments for the school year, BE IT RESOLVED, that the District appropriates the use of the Tax Certiorari Reserve in the amount of $32, for the payment of this tax certiorari claim. From: A864 Tax Certiorari Reserve To: A Tax Refunds - Prior Years 6.13 Be it resolved that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education approves the consultant agreement between the Ravena- Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District and Nancy Noonan to serve as an Interim Assistant Principal effective January 3, 2019 and to terminate on February 15, 2019 as per attached and authorizes execution of said agreement Be it resolved that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education accepts the Internal Claims Audit Reports for December 2018 as per attached. 7. List includes Building Aides, Bus Monitors, Bus Drivers, Custodial Workers, Food Service Worker, Teaching Assistants and Nurses 7.3 Be it resolved that upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, the Board of Education approves the attached Substitute Teachers list forwarded from the BOCES registrar.
