OF INDIA REGIONAL CENTRE, BHUBANESWAR ELTI Campus, Near Fortune Tower Maitri Vihar, Chandrasekharpur PIN (ODISHA) website: Phone: , F-275 /13/NIOS RC-BBSR/494 Date: Notice For Teachers under OPEPA for filling up the NIOS forms for up-gradation of qualification at Senior Secondary Level (+2) Under the Right to Education Act, as notified by the State Government, it is mandatory for the teachers under OPEPA to upgrade their qualifications in Senior Secondary Level (Refer: ). In this regard NIOS has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with OPEPA. GUIDELINES: 1. ELIGIBILITY: Teachers who have not passed Senior Secondary (+2) or secured less than 50% in Senior Secondary on aggregate for general category & 45 % for SC & ST category and other reserve category under RTE Act. 2. FEES: Admission Fee: A consolidated amount of Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand and Five Hundred Only) is to be deposited vide Demand Draft in Favour of Secretary NIOS and should be payable at Bhubaneswar irrespective of Caste and Subjects taken. Admission Fee includes admission cost, cost of the study materials, academic cost (PCP), arrangement etc. Examination Fee: The candidate will deposit the examination fee as per the guidelines of NIOS from time to time and the nature of examination (Public/ On Demand Examination). 3. COURSES & SUBJECTS: Senior Secondary (+2) Level Group A: Hindi (301), English (302), Bengali (303) and Odia (OD) Group B: Mathematics (311), Physics* (312), Chemistry* (313), Biology* (314), History (315), Geography* (316), Political Science (317), Economics (318), Business Studies (319), Accountancy (320), Home Science* (321), Psychology (328), Computer Science* (330), Sociology (331), Painting* (332), Environmental Science* (333), Mass Communication* (335), Data Entry Operations (336) * Choose Five subjects: Two language Subjects from Group A and remaining three subjects from Group B Subjects with * marks are subjects having practical 4. DATE OF SUBMISSION OF FORMS Applicant of the concerned district will submit the form duly filled to the District Project Coordinator (DPC). The District Project Coordinator will submit the forms along with off-line database in MS Excel format to NIOS,RC-BBSR as per the schedule below. By Applicant 1 st Lot: Application to be deposited to DPC Office On or before 05/08/ nd Lot: Application to be deposited to DPC Office On or before 31/08/2013 By DPC 1 st Lot: Application form along with documents and On or before 10/08/2013 database in MS Excel Format to NIOS, RC-BBSR 2 nd Lot: Application form along with documents and database in MS Excel Format to NIOS, RC-BBSR On or before 05/09/2013

2 5. TRANSFER OF CREDIT (TOC) The TOC is mentioned in the application form on Point.26, 27 and 28 are subject to validation by the Concerned Board/ Council (CHSE/CBSE/ICSE). The TOC facility will be provided to learners securing more than 50 % mark for general category and 45 % mark for SC/ST in each subject. No additional fees will be charged for TOC Maximum three subjects are allowed for TOC In Point-26 of the Admission Form, the applicant needs to put 1(Yes) if he/she requires TOC 7.
