2 Transcript Review Your transcript is the legal record of your high school courses, grades, and attempted/completed credits Credits are earned based on a passing semester grade (Dor higher). Each course is worth 5 credits per semester. There are two semesters in one school year. In one school year, you can earn 60 credits (10 credits per course). If you retake a course, you will only earn credit for the course once. The higher grade will be used to compute your GPA. You have completed five (5) semesters of high school. You should have a minimum of 150 credits.

4 Behind in Credits? What to do? Do NOT fall further behind! Pass your classes this semester. As a senior, you will be eligible to enroll in Adult School night classes. Classes offered are limited. Do not assume that the class you need to make up will be available through Adult School. Cyber High classes may also be an option during your Senior Year. Again, classes are limited. Speak with your counselor. Put a plan in place to get caught up. The best way to stay on track for graduation is to PASS YOUR CLASSES the first time. Credit recovery options are extremely limited.

Double check that you are selecting courses to satisfy graduation requirements and college entrance requirements. Remember, courses taken to meet A-G requirements must be passed with a grade of C or better.

7 Filling out your Class Selection Form Print your Name and Phone Number on the form. Obtain required teacher signatures for Math, Science, IB classes, and any electives requiring teacher approval. Attach the PINK T.A. permission form, if you list T.A. as an elective. Share this information with your parent/guardian. Both you and your parent/guardian are required to sign this form. Turn your completed form in to your English teacher by the Due Date. If your completed form is turned in on time, your counselor will meet with you to review your selections. Do not list the following classes on your form: Work Experience (Approval in the Fall is required. Change will occur in the Fall.) Leadership (If you are approved for Leadership, your counselor will make the change. Change will occur in the Spring.)

8 Online Course Selection This year you will use your Aeries account to enter your course requests online (use your student or parent account). If you have not set up an account, now is the time to do so. Please see Mrs. Bledsaw in the Counseling Office or the Attendance Office for account access. The following video will take you through the steps of how to input your courses online. The video is a sample and not actual THS courses. Entering alternates will not be an option for you. When you log in to your account, you will be able to select courses available to you. Please refer to your Course Selection Form and the provided brochure to help guide you through the process. 9 Looking ahead to Senior Year Graduation Status In order to be eligible for Senior Activities, you must be on track for graduation, including, (but not limited to) having a minimum of 190 credits at the beginning of second semester. NCAA If you plan to play a sport in college and you have not yet registered with the Clearinghouse, be sure to register by the end of your junior year. Scholarships Make the time to visit the Career Center regularly. APPLY, APPLY, APPLY! College Applications Sign up to attend CSU and/or UC Application Workshops at Tracy High. Don t miss out on the opportunity to have your questions answered by CSU/UC representatives. CSU/UC application deadline is November 30 th. SAT/ACT Take tests in the Spring of your Junior year and/or Fall of Senior year. Must be taken no later than December Financial Aid Night Watch for information in early Fall and plan to attend a local workshop.
