Two year curriculum for juniors and seniors The Diploma Programme prepares students for college by encouraging them to: Ask challenging questions Learn how to learn Develop a strong sense of their own identity and culture Develop the ability to communicate with and understand people from other countries and cultures

Widely recognized Students have a reputation as being lifelong learners and critical thinkers Individual universities have their own acceptance policies for IB coursework, but generally offer college credit and sometimes special scholarships ognitionpolicy/index.cfm

14 What our students say From Erin Reid about the program: "IB made all of my college classes easy this year, plus I went in with college credits. From Jessica Remter concerning Spanish I placed into Spanish 201, which is Intermediate Spanish 1, or the third semester of Spanish, if I'm correct. The test itself was super easy. My professor is a novelist and poet from Nicaragua. From Kyle Jones concerning Spanish: I recently received my examination scores from the International Baccalaureate program. In Spanish, I received a five. At the University of Alabama, this is equivalent to eight hours of credit." Concerning English: I earned an overall score of 27 with a 5 in English. This translated into me receiving the diploma, and six credit hours I now do not have to take.you gave me the confidence and all the tools I needed to do well on the exams and in life. Even though the class and the IB program did have its share of difficulties, I feel proud to have been involved in the program.

15 Go to the school web site for the application. You will need to complete the application and get four teacher recommendations. Applications are due to Mary Nell Anthony by Monday, Dec. 17. Students will be notified of decisions by Friday, January 25. Slots not filled by TLH students will be open for students from outside Application Process
