1 MAIN ADV-64/ SUB FI-04 a CO: Financial Inclusion Department DT FILE M-2 S-216 Implementation of Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG (DBTL) Branches are aware that Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG consumers (DBTL) is implemented in 20 districts w.e.f , under which subsidy is provided directly in Aadhaar Enabled Bank Account (AEBA) of the LPG consumer. Detailed guidelines on implementation of DBTL have been communicated to the branches vide CO: Financial Inclusion Department circular ADV-61/ dated Government of India has proposed to extend the DBTL to additional 269 districts across the country in a phased manner starting from to Of these 269 districts, in 34 districts listed in Annexure I, DBTL will be launched from ; in 44 districts listed in Annexure II from ; in 46 districts listed in Annexure III from ; in 40 districts listed in Annexure IV from and in the remaining 105 districts listed in Annexure V from Since, Direct Benefit Transfer is effected through Aadhaar Enabled Bank Account of the LPG consumer, it is important that bank account of all the LPG consumers in these districts are opened and seeded with Aadhaar number within the time line, to ensure seamless implementation of DBTL in these districts. The Lead District Managers in our Lead Districts have important role in implementation of DBTL. Lead District Managers have to work in close co-ordination with the District Co-ordinators of banks and Oil Marketing Companies. Zonal Managers are requested to immediately initiate the preparatory steps for implementation of DBTL in the Districts covered by the Zone. GOI is closely monitoring the progress in seeding of the Aadhaar under Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG. The branches are therefore advised to strictly adhere to the time line stipulated by Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance for seeding of Aadhaar number.
