It is a theme based research project carried out by students with the help of guide teacher and present the project with the help of oral & poster presentation in the congress organized at different levels by the state and at the National level organized by DST. Projects are evaluated by experts on the basis of its originality and its practical applicability and benefits. The theme of the zs" & 2ih NCSC 2018 has been announced and it has been forwarded to all regions to start the projects. The focal theme and sub theme of NCSC is: The Focal theme: Science, Technology & Innovation for Clean, Green and Healthy Nation. The focal theme has been sub-divided into the following seven sub-themes. Ecosystem and Ecosystem Services. Health, Hygiene and Sanitation Waste to wealth Society, Culture and Livelihoods Traditional Knowledge Systems (TKS) A tentative plan is prepared to conduct different activities at different level in connection with the participation and organization of KVS National Children Science Congress as follows: 1. National Level Committee: As per instruction of DST Committees are to be constituted to conduct the NCSC smoothly. It is proposed that the following committee may be constituted to conduct KVS NCSC smoothly.

Regional Level Committee: Regional Level Committee should be constituted with one Assistant Commissioner as Regional Coordinator and one Principal as Academic Coordinator. Deputy Commissioner may be requested to nominate the coordinators and should keep in mind that the officers nominated have scientific flare. The committee will be responsible for arranging all the programmes related to Regional Level NCSC and correspondence with the National Committee. 3. Students and guide teachers may also take help from these organisations to identify the problem.

5 -3- It has been decided to conduct a 2 day KVS level workshop for Regional Co-ordinators and Regional Academic Co-ordinators to acquaint with recent changes in Children Science Congress. The 2 day workshop will be conducted at ZIET Mumbai on 19th and zo'" July, You are requested to depute Regional Co-ordinator and Regional Academic Co-ordinator for the same. 5. Total 450 projects are to be selected for participation at the KVS National Children Science Congress. Accordingly, region wise number of projects allotted are as follows. NO OF PROJECTS ALLOITED FOR EACH REGION AS PER THE NO OF SCHOOLS. Therefore, you are requested to ensure the quality of projects which should have scientific idea, spirit of research, innovation, creativity etc.
