AP courses are given extra weight of.5 HOPE GRANT (For students seeking a technical certificate or diploma regardless of high school GPA ) Must have a 2.0 at certain checkpoints Pays a percentage of tuition depending on the college. Zell Miller Grant pays 100% of tuition if student has a 3.5 previous semester

20 HOPE RIGOR UPDATE Students graduating on or after May 1, 2017 must earn at least four academically rigorous courses Listing of Academically Rigorous courses may be found at GSE Advanced Algebra and GSE Pre-calculus, Accelerated Precalculus and Beyond Chemistry, Physics and Human Anatomy 2nd Level of Languages and Beyond AP, IB and Dual Enrollment Courses

26 Georgia/Fulton Virtual School vs Georgia Credit Recovery COST FTE or tuition based. Available to public, private, and homeschool students The program is available at no charge to public school systems in Georgia for all first time enrollments. There is a $25 re-enrollment fee for public school students.

27 Georgia/Fulton Virtual School vs Georgia Credit Recovery Availability Yes. Students generally complete the course(s) during the normal school day Yes. Post tests and the final exam or EOC, if applicable, need to be proctored at the school by the credit recovery site coordinator. All other coursework can be done at home or school.
