1 No. 73/3/ /MDNIY/P-II/SVDYWC MORARJI DESAI NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF YOGA 68, Ashoka Road, Near Gole Dakkhana, New Delhi PUBLIC NOTIFICATION Date: 30 th Nov, 2011 Sub:- Establishment of Swami Vivekananda District Yoga Wellness Centre under PPP : Phase-II Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) has devised a scheme to establish Swami Vivekananda District Yoga Wellness Centre (SVDYWC) under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode in phases during 11 th plan. In the first phase 100 SVDYWC in different districts of India (Annexure A) have been established. Now, another 100 centres are being proposed to be established in the second phase of the scheme in the districts other than those in Annexure A. The NGOs with the following eligibility criteria are required to submit two sets of application form in the prescribed format (Annexure B) to the Director, MDNIY latest by 2 nd Jan 2012 and NGOs located in North East States, J&K, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep shall submit the same on or before 16 th Jan a. The NGO shall be registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 or State Registration Act or as a Trust under Indian Trust Act, b. The NGO should have been engaged in Yoga training / health promotion activities at least for last three years. c. The NGO should have minimum basic infrastructure facilities viz. Staff Room cum Office, Good Yoga Hall, facilities for Shatkarma and other facilities to conduct Yoga Training and wellness programmes. d. The NGO should have expertise in organizing health awareness programmes. Note- NGOs already availing the financial assistance for similar purposes either from Department of AYUSH or from any of its subordinate Institutes/Councils/Offices of the Central or State Governments are need not to apply under this scheme. NGOs fulfilling the above eligibility criteria are required to furnish recommendation from District Collector / Deputy Commissioner / District Magistrate of the concerned District in the prescribed format (Annexure C) along with the application form. Those NGOs whose applications found eligible by the Institutional Scrutiny Committee of MDNIY will be inspected by the Officers / Nodal Officers of the concerned Nodal Yoga Institutes (Annexure-D) for physical verification and recommendation. Note- Only those applications recommended by both DC/DM of the concerned District and the concerned Nodal Yoga institutes shall only be processed for sanction of grant-in-aid. DIRECTOR MDNIY
